As Medex Logistics, basically we serve our customers through two modes of transportation and different routes in railway transportation.Our transportations are carried out by convetional wagons and/or containers. Our routes are BTK(Baku-Tbilisi-Kars) and Çay Yolu via Iran.
As can be seen in the map below, our transfer point is Poti Port in Georgia for our conventional wagon transports. Your export cargoes from Turkey are transported to Poti Port by road, the products are unloaded to our warehouse in Poti Port, then they are loaded on conventional wagons and transported to Kazakhstan (Aktau) and Turkmenistan (Turkmenbashi) via Georgia and Azerbaijan route. In the transports we carry out by container, 20 DC or 40 HQ empty containers are brought to the production/loading place by an internal transport vehicle and loaded, depending on the load situation.Afterwards the full container is left at the nearest train station and exited via BTK line after the customs clearance.
In both services, the transit time is around 30 days and it provides a price advantage of around 25% compared to international road transport.
On the route over Iran, which we call Çay Yolu (Tea Road), transportation is mainly carried out by conventional wagons. Your goods is taken from the loading place with an internal transport vehicle, transferred from the truck to the wagon at the nearest station, and if necessary, the load fixing operations are also carried out by us. After the customs clearance, the wagons are passing through the Van Kapıköy border gate to Iran and transporting the wagons to Turkmenistan Saraks. Upon our customers' preference, the products can be transferred back to the trucks from Saraks, the final destination station, and delivered to the final delivery address. We operate a 5,000 m² bonded warehouse at Saraks Train Station to serve both your export and import transportations.
